This story follows Kerrie Saunders, a Gomeroi woman, as she shares her journey of harvesting guli (native millet) and reconnecting with culture on Country in the Gwydir wetlands.
Guli harvesting is more than gathering food. It brings people together, strengthens cultural identity and creates opportunities to learn, share and reconnect with Country. It also highlights the role of environmental water in supporting floodplain wetlands where native grains grow, linking culture, community and river health.
