We love wind and solar farms at 2rog.  But we also know how hard it is to locate them in places that doesn’t compromise the gains of decarbonisation with losses to biodiversity or agricultural productivity.  We are working with clients on a number of renewable energy projects including solar and wind farms in Queensland and NSW to understand and minimise impacts and ultimately gain environmental approval under both the EPBC Act and state legislation.  Our approach focuses on developing a robust understanding of the biodiversity and then working with clients on dedicated ‘avoidance strategies’ to reduce impacts as far a humanly possible.  This includes both in design (where to put infrastructure) and during construction and operation (onsite protections for biodiversity values).  We are also helping a number of renewable clients go above and beyond to deliver projects that have genuine nature positive outcomes.
